The Groom Cross -- officially named "The Cross of Our Lord Jesus Christ" is a 1,250-ton steel cross erected in 1995, and is 19 stories, or 190 feet tall. The giant cross can be seen from 20 miles and is visited by a lot of people every year. The 10-acre complex includes life-sized statues of the 14 Stations of the Cross, a bronze Last Supper Statue, and a replica of the Shroud of Turin. The site includes a visitor center, gift shop, restrooms, and outdoor paths.
