Cruise'n on Route 66 - BW Edition

Some places seem to carry the stories of the past right in their walls. In downtown Williams, Arizona, the words Cruise'n on Route 66 adorn the historic Pollock Building, celebrating the spirit of America's legendary Mother Road.
Presented in black and white, this familiar storefront takes on a timeless quality. Without the distraction of color, the textures of the brick and weathered stone become more pronounced, while the elegant lettering stands boldly against the building's facade. The contrast of light and shadow brings out the architectural details and gives the photograph a classic, almost vintage character.

The shop inside offers Route 66 souvenirs, but the sign itself represents something much bigger: the freedom of the open road, the excitement of discovering small-town treasures, and the memories made along the journey.

I wanted to capture more than a storefront. I wanted to preserve a little piece of Americana—a reminder of a time when the journey was an adventure in itself and every stop along the highway had a story to tell.

Photographed at the historic Pollock Building in downtown Williams, Arizona, this black-and-white image celebrates the enduring charm and nostalgia of Route 66.
