The Dillard Mill

A mill with three different names. Built on the Huzzah Creek it was first the Wisdom Mill that was built by Francis Wisdom in 1853. It was destroyed by fire. Next it became the Mische Mill when it was rebuilt in 1908. It was in operation until 1956. In 1975 it was renamed the Dillard Mill when the state of Missouri took it over. It was dedicated as a historic site in 1977. Restoration of the mill was completed in 1980.
