Nestled high in Colorado's rugged San Juan Mountains, the Frisco-Bagley Mill rises from the alpine landscape like a monument to the dreams of the Silver Boom. Constructed in 1912, the prefabricated Frisco-Bagley Mill was built to process ore hauled from the surrounding mountains. Despite the immense investment and engineering behind its construction, the mill operated for only two short years before closing in 1914 as mining fortunes declined.
