Captured during the final days of September 2024 along Colorado's legendary Million Dollar Highway (U.S. Highway 550) between Ouray and Silverton, this grove of quaking aspens was glowing at peak color. Just steps from the roadside, the forest had transformed into a sea of shimmering gold. Sunlight filtered through thousands of delicate leaves, turning each one into a tiny golden coin dancing in the mountain breeze.

It seemed impossible to look in any direction without being overwhelmed by breathtaking color. The brilliant white trunks stood like quiet sentinels beneath a radiant canopy, creating one of nature's most spectacular displays.
