Permanent duck blinds are scattered all over Caddo Lake. Some of them are seriously cool looking and some of them have been in families for 100 yrs. A 200-year-old tradition of building permanent duck blinds on Caddo Lake is about to be squashed. As of Jan 1st of 2016 hunters are no longer be able to keep permanent duck blinds on Caddo Lake. They had until March 31st to remove them from the lake and the ones that are left the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department will begin to take them down. I was fortunate enough to be able to view some of these duck blinds before they start taking them all apart.
